The SARS-CoV-2 Portal has been updated to enhance the user experience. In addition, the BLAST server has been updated to support BLAST 2.10.0 and the new BLAST database format. For more information see the SARS-CoV-2 Portal Documentation.
The SARS-CoV-2 DB has now been updated to version 2.0. The new version contains more than 40.000 SARS-CoV-2 genomes. All entries have been manually curated to ensure consistency across the entries. Also, a new version of the BLAST server has been implemented.
We have now updated the SARS-CoV-2 database to version 1.18 on the Sept. 24th. Due to changes at INSDC we had to rerun all entries to ensure that we captured all metadata from the INSDC databases. The version 1.18 contains 17313 genomes, were the contextual metadata have been manually curated to ensure consistency across the different attributes the entries and to ease the filter and search function.
In today’s update, we have compiled approximately 3920 genomes. All genomes have been manually curated to ensure consistency across the entries and to ease the filter and search function.
In this week’s update, we have reached more than 2100 curated genomes. We will continue to updated the database each weekly with newly published genomes.
The SARS-CoV-2 DB will be updated weekly (every Monday) with newly published genomes. In today’s update, there are approximately 1400 genomes, an increase from 865 genomes last week. All genomes have been manually curated to ensure consistency across the entries and to ease the filter and search function.
